My brown sugar scrub came out of the futile attempt to scrub away problems and perceived failures that came with life being upended by chronic illness. I wanted something could be felt but wouldn't hurt, something to provide gentle tactile simulation, providing a way to disrupt toxic thoughts and relax my body while I escaped from life.
